2018 Mr. Olympia title holder and professional bodybuilder Shawn Rhoden has passed away at the age of 46, according to the Daily Star.
According to sources close to Generation Iron, the athlete died of a heart attack. His trainer Chris Acheto confirmed the death of the bodybuilder.
Sean Roden was born in Jamaica in 1975. In 1990 he emigrated to the United States. In 1992, he became interested in bodybuilding. During his debut at the Mr. Olympia competition in 2011, he took 11th place, then the next year he became a bronze medalist. In 2018, at the age of 43, he became the winner of the tournament, and also received the title of the oldest bodybuilder to ever win the title.
Earlier it became known that in Orlando 37-year-old bodybuilder George Peterson, who was supposed to take part in the tournament “Mr. Olympia”, died in his hotel room the day before the competition. His trainer Justin Miller found Peterson lying face down in his hotel room.
