Former hockey player “Salavat Yulaev” Jim Montgomery said that he was afraid of toilets in Russia
Former Salavat Yulaev Ufa forward Jim Montgomery, who now heads the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League (NHL), spoke about his fear of Russian toilets in an interview with the Spittin’ Chiclets YouTube channel.
The specialist remembered how he was traveling with Salavat to Magnitogorsk by bus from Ufa. “In Russia, on the highways, people put tables by the road and trade. I asked where the toilet was. They showed me, I came, and there was a hole in the ground. Take off your pants and go ahead, no toilet paper,” he said. The Canadian added that he could not use such a toilet.
Montgomery played for Salavat Yulaev in 2003. The contract with him was terminated due to low performance. A year later, the hockey player ended his career. The coach took over the Boston Bruins in July 2022.
