Katsalapov and Sinitsina became the most popular Russian figure skaters in the New Year’s shows
Olympic champions in team competitions Nikita Katsalapov and Victoria Sinitsina became the most sought-after Russian figure skaters in the New Year’s ice shows. It is reported by “Sport-Express”.
The couple’s PR manager Christina Aghabekyan named the exact number of performances in which the skaters managed to participate in December and January. According to her, the athletes appeared on the ice in 35 shows in total.
In second place in the ranking is the Olympic champion in single skating Anna Shcherbakova. The Russian woman took part in 26 performances. The top three was closed by the silver medalist of the 2018 Games in the team competition Mikhail Kolyada. He performed in 18 shows.
Katsalapov and Sinitsina, as well as Shcherbakova, did not go on the ice in official tournaments after the end of the 2022 Olympics. Kolyada competed but missed the Russian Championships in December, citing worsened sinusitis.
