Russian coach Olga Tishina accused of cruel treatment of gymnasts in Italy
Italian rhythmic gymnastics coach Emanuela Maccarani and her Russian assistant Olga Tishina are accused of cruelty to the wards. ANSA reports.
Specialists work at the International Academy of Rhythmic Gymnastics in Desio, Italy and will face the sports court for subjecting the pupils to psychological pressure and using incorrect training methods. It is alleged that the affected gymnasts were diagnosed with psychological and nutritional disorders.
In addition, Maccarani and Silence may be involved in a criminal case. At the moment, it is at a preliminary stage: the Brescia prosecutor’s office is investigating.
Tishina lives and works in Italy. Since 2016, the Russian woman has been coaching the national team in group exercises.
