American football player survives cardiac arrest during match

Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin collapsed during a National Football League (NFL) game with the Cincinnati Bengals. This was reported on the league website.

The 24-year-old fell to the pitch after colliding with opposing player Ty Higgins. After that, doctors appeared on the field to help him, who performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation using a defibrillator.

Hamlin was taken to the hospital. The player, who suffered a cardiac arrest on the field, is reported to be in critical condition.
