Bayern Munich continues to lead the German Championship and are looking for their tenth straight title. This Saturday, the Bavarians will face Freiburg at the Allianz Arena.
The owners of the house are not going to have an easy life. That’s because Freiburg are the surprise of the Bundesliga, in third position. Therefore, coach Julian Nagelsmann preached total focus on the match.
“Freiburg will demand a lot from us, they have a very stable defense. They know how to put pressure on marking, but they also defend very well. The most remarkable thing about their success is their discipline in defense. If you win the ball, you won’t have much time to change. They will be a tough opponent and are having a very good season,” he said.
Freiburg, on the other hand, tries to surprise to equal the giant’s score. So much so that coach Christian Streich admitted that his team is aiming for a good result in Munich.
“Whenever we went to Munich we just wanted to limit the damage. Now we want to face them. The team is in good shape and we’ve already scored some points. I’m curious to see if we can keep up with them,” he said.
Whoever is rooting for Bayern’s stumbling block is runners-up Borussia Dortmund. Coach Marco Rose’s team visits RB Leipizig this Saturday. The hosts come from a draw with Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League and in a positive sequence in the Bundesliga.
