RB Sport: Zenit will receive two million euros for the transfer of Croat Dejan Lovren to Lyon
The amount requested by Zenit for the transfer of the Croatian defender Dejan Lovren to the French Lyon has been named. It is reported by “RB Sport”.
According to the publication, the St. Petersburg team will receive two million euros as part of the deal. It is specified that the clubs have already reached an agreement on this transfer.
On December 31 last year, it became known that the 33-year-old football player had already passed a medical examination at Lyon. The term of the player’s agreement with the new team is not specified. The French must pay blue-white-blue compensation for the early termination of the contract with the defender, since Lovren had to spend another six months at Zenit.
At the World Championships in Qatar, Lovren won the bronze medal as part of the Croatian national team. The defender took part in six matches, in which he scored one assist.
Lovren moved to Zenit in 2020. Together with the blue-white-blue football player became a two-time champion of Russia and a three-time winner of the country’s Super Cup. He already played for Lyon from 2010 to 2013.
