One entry and it started. Boniek revealed who will lead the Polish national team?

Fans and the media live for who will become the new head coach of the Polish national football team. The list of names of coaches who have been mentioned in this context has grown quite long. According to the latest information, PZPN is talking to Steven Gerrard. At this stage, however, it is difficult to clearly determine who will become the new trainer of the Polish team. New information comes to light from time to time.

An enigmatic entry by Zbigniew Boniek on Twitter

On Tuesday, the atmosphere was warmed up by the former president of PZPN, Zbigniew Boniek. He tweeted a very short “NB” tweet and posted two Polish flags next to it. And we can only guess what that means.

It is possible that the former president of PZPN had something completely different in mind and decided to make a joke with the followers. However, the fans interpreted it as the initials of the new coach. The more so that they match one of the candidates whose name appeared in the media. This is Nenad Bjelica, former coach of Lech Poznań.

– My name is often mentioned in the Polish media. However, no one has contacted me at the moment – said Bjelica before Christmas. – But I can say that if I am already mentioned as a candidate for the manager of such a great country, it is an honor for me. I worked there for two years in Lech Poznań, so I know the language well. Nor am I an anonymous figure to the citizens of this country. I am waiting. If such an offer comes, of course, it will be a great honor and challenge for me to lead the Polish national team – he added.

Bjelica worked in Poland in 2016-2018, when he was the first coach of Lech Poznań. With “Kolejorz” he did not manage to win the national championship, but despite this he was remembered by the fans. The Croatian has been a free coach since August. Recently, he led the NK Osijek team.

The players of the Polish national team will once again run onto the pitch on March 24, 2023, when the Euro 2024 qualifiers will start at the Fortuna Arena in Prague. In the first match, of course, we will play the Czech national team. Robert Lewandowski and the company in group E will also face Moldova, Albania and the Faroe Islands.

The next European Championship will start on June 14, 2024. The entire tournament will be played in 10 stadiums in 10 German cities: Berlin, Munich, Dortmund, Gelsenkirchen, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Duesseldorf, Cologne, Leipzig and Frankfurt am Main.
