Croatian defender of “Zenith” Dejan Lovren will go to the French “Lyon”
Croatian defender of St. Petersburg “Zenith” Dejan Lovren will leave the club and go to the French “Lyon”. On Saturday, December 31, reports L’Équipe.
According to the publication, the 33-year-old football player agreed with the French on the terms of a personal contract. In addition, it is noted that Lovren passed a medical examination. The term of the player’s agreement with the new club is not specified.
The French club will pay blue-white-blue compensation for the early termination of the contract with the defender. Under the current agreement, Lovren had to spend another six months at Zenit.
At the World Championships in Qatar, Lovren won the bronze medal as part of the Croatian national team. The defender took part in six matches, in which he scored one assist.
Lovren moved to Zenit in 2020. Together with the blue-white-blue football player became a two-time champion of Russia and a three-time winner of the country’s Super Cup. He already played for Lyon from 2010 to 2013.
