Ecuador A and B together with Puerto Rico dominate the Pacific Boxing Cup held in Portoviejo | Other Sports | sports

In the tournament, organized by the Ecuadorian Boxing Federation, 106 fighters from six countries participated.

Teams Ecuador A, with 8 titles, Ecuador B, which reached 7, and Puerto Rico, with 6, they were awarded the highest number of gold medals during the finals of the XI International Boxing Cup Gold Belt that was held in the fighting arena of the La California complex, of the Manabí Sports Federation, in Portoviejo.

The competition had the participation of 106 fighters from six countries: Ecuador, Bolivia, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Chile and Puerto Rico, between men and women, who contested 30 titles in the junior and youth categories.

76 fights were carried out in four days and the technical level of the event was considered good by the president of the Ecuadorian Boxing Federation (FEB), Alex Gonzalez, who also highlighted the discipline of the coaches, delegates, athletes and assistants.

For its part, Sixto Lomas, FEB technical delegate, referred to the performance of the judges, “their work was successful and the failures were a positive factor for the development of the tournament. I highlight the management of President Álex González, who despite not have the support of the Ministry of Sports made possible this tournament that serves for the “blank” of our athletes with fighters from other countries ”.
