The junior tennis player Emilio Camacho was invited to participate in the prestigious Les Petits As international tournament, considered by many to be the junior world championship, which is held in Tarbes (France) from January 23 to 29.
Camacho has had an outstanding performance in the 2022 season, which allowed him to rank first in the South American and country rankings in the 14-year-old category. He was even decorated by the Ecuadorian Tennis Federation at its Annual Gala for becoming the best player in his category at the national level.
The youth tennis player joined, in 2022, the Ecuadorian team, made up of Tito Chávez and Lucas Yúnez, which was crowned vice-champion of the South American held in Colombia and which allowed him to qualify for the World Cup in the category.
Les Petits As is a European tournament for players between 12 and 14 years old; and tennis players such as Rafael Nadal, Michael Chang, Roger Federer, Marat Safin, Martina Hingis, Justine Henin, Arantxa Sánchez, among others, have participated there.
