President of Emelec points out that the club’s debts would exceed 15 million dollars and says: “there are employees who were owed since August”

On November 1, José Pileggi Véliz assumed the presidency of Emelec and succeeded Nassib Neme in office.

Since his arrival, the new electric president has not hidden his discomfort with the state, in the economic order of the club.

In recent days, the manager complained about the fact that the previous manager had not negotiated a debt with former coach Ismael Rescalvo and this had to be added to the termination of his contract.

Now, Pileggi revealed that there is a debt that borders on 15 million dollars and to this we would have to add others such as what has to be paid to the European strategist.

“We are making an effort with the leaders to move the club forward. There are several debts such as the bank that amounts to almost 14 million dollars with interest, the principal, another one million and then there will be a debt of 15 million a little more, a little less, ”he said.

“To this we must add debts that there are players like the case of Queiroz, others settled like the case of Professor Rescalvo that we will have to pay in 48 months,” he added in conversation with the chain goaltv.

The emelecista president insisted that at the moment all the club’s employees are up to date with their payments and revealed that some had been owed their salaries since August.

“I went to Samanes (the sports complex) and the workers approached me very smiling and told me: boss, we thank you because we had a good Christmas and New Year’s Eve, we paid them for everything and they told me that it is the first time in fifteen years that they are at the day,” he commented.

“In the case of the collaborators of the complex, they were owed since September, those of the training sessions since August, the players since September and now I can assure that they are all up to date,” he concluded.

This newspaper, since his election as president of Emelec, on November 1, has requested an interview with the manager, however, has not received any response. (D)
