The founder of the famous American Top Team gym Dan Lambert shared his opinion on the Swedish mixed style (MMA) fighter Khamzat Chimaev. His words are quoted by Sportskeeda.
Lambert called Chimaev “McGregor for Muslims”, noting the charisma of the Swedish athlete. “Like Conor, this guy has a hype, he has a well-hung tongue, he conducts bright, noticeable fights. It seems that he is insanely talented, but I would look at Chimaev with a strong opponent. He hasn’t fought the really tough guys yet, ”says Lambert.
Chimaev won four victories under the auspices of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC). In his last bout, he defeated Chinese Li Jingliang, forcing him to surrender in the first round. Chimaev is compared to the Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov. The Swede of Chechen origin is called the New Khabib, or Khabib 2.0 for a similar manner of fighting – the desire to knock the opponent off his feet and impose a fight on him.
On account of Chimaev, ten victories in ten fights. McGregor is a former UFC two-weight champion.
