The Russian won gold at the European Short Course Swimming Championships

Russian Kliment Kolesnikov again won a gold medal at the European Short Course Swimming Championships in Kazan. The correspondent of “Lenta.ru” informs about it.

The athlete became the best in the distance of 100 meters on the back. Kolesnikov finished in 49.13 seconds. He was ahead of the Romanian swimmer Robert-Andrei Glinta (49.31) and the Greek Apostle Christ (49.87). Another representative of the Russian national team, Pavel Samusenko, was in fourth place.

Thus, Kolesnikov won the second gold in the European Championship. On November 3, he became the best in the 50 meters backstroke and set a world record.

The 21-year-old Russian competed at the Tokyo Olympics. At the Games, Kolesnikov won a silver medal in the 100-meter backstroke. He also won the bronze medal in the 100m freestyle.

Competitions in Kazan will end on November 7.
