Benfica and Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez has been named the most expensive player in the world in 2022. This is reported by the portal Transfermarkt.de.
The cost of the midfielder at the beginning of the year was five million euros, now it has grown to 55 million (by 1000 percent). Brazilian Manchester United winger Anthony has risen in price by the same 50 million euros. However, at the beginning of the year it was worth 25 million, so the increase was only 200 percent.
In the ranking on the seventh line there is a former Rubin footballer Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Georgian midfielder “Napoli” is estimated at 60 million euros, for the year it has risen in price by 44 million (or 275 percent).
Enzo Fernandez at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, together with the Argentina national team, won the title and was recognized as the best young player of the tournament. At the World Cup, the 21-year-old midfielder played seven matches in which he scored one goal and gave one assist.
