Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters Islam Makhachev and Sergey Pavlovich were in the top 10 best representatives of their sport in 2022 according to the American magazine Sports Illustrated. This was reported on the publication’s website.
The current champion of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) Islam Makhachev is on the second line. His compatriot heavyweight Pavlovich, who also competes in the promotion, finished seventh.
The rating was headed by the holder of the UFC featherweight championship belt Australian Alexander Volkanovski. The top three was closed by the Brazilian Alex Pereira, who owns the UFC middleweight title.
