Al Sadd, from Qatar, announced, on Friday, the contract termination with coach Xavi Hernández. Through social networks, the club informed that it accepted to release the Spanish language after the Barcelona pay the termination fine.
“Xavi informed us a few days ago about his desire to go to Barcelona at this specific time, due to the critical phase his hometown club is going through, and we understand that and decided not to get in his way,” the team informed.
“We agreed to cooperate with Barcelona in the future. Xavi is an important part of Al-Sadd’s story and we wish him every success,” he added.
