Ecuadorian striker Michael Estrada’s stay at Cruz Azul will be short, since the cement team’s coach confirmed that the footballer is not in his plans for 2023.

Estrada, 26, was part of the Ecuadorian team that participated in the Qatar 2022 World Cup and because he has six months left on his contract, he is training with the Aztec club.
In a press conference, Raúl Gutiérrez, coach of the Blues, assured that he had already informed the Ecuadorian that he will not be part of his team, like the Chilean Iván Morales.
“As a coach, you’ve been building the team for two months, and now that they’re here, you don’t feel happy because you were a player and the situation they’re in isn’t pleasant for anyone,” said the strategist.

“Particularly Iván who, apparently, was already going to leave due to arrangements by his representative and things like that. Estrada was the same, we will see, he was going to have a different exit, ”added Gutiérrez.
The coach indicated that it was difficult for him to communicate to both players that they are not in his plans.
“I spoke with Estrada, I understand that you may be angry, but train, put him in, if you stay here things will already be between directives, but if not, be fine. It is not easy and it is not pleasant for them either, I am very empathetic for these things and hopefully it will be solved well for them, ”he specified.
The Ecuadorian arrived in August of this year at the blue box and at the moment the Aztec club defines its contractual situation. (D)
