Group B in the 15th season of the ESL Pro League is a thing of the past. However, Polish fans will come back to it with a smile on their face. The Finnish ENCE with Olek “hades” Mi¶kiewicz and Paweł “dychą” Dycha in the line-up turned out great. Poles came out of the uneasy six, but one of the leading teams in the world ranking dropped out of the league.
ESL Pro League. ENCE with Poles was a positive surprise
This past week was beautiful in the ESL Pro League. Practically every day ENCE gave great reasons for joy. The disposition of the team surpassed the wildest expectations. A horse with a row to the one who, without a shadow of a doubt, would put the team to such a certain promotion, which it secured for itself.
It went great from the very beginning. Winning over FaZe Clan means entering the league with the door. After that, it was only better, because on the second day ENCE pulled the scalp from Vitality, almost without getting tired. The Finnish organization also scored victories with Outsiders and Sprout. Only the Brazilians from FURIA turned out to be better. This is a bit of a pity, because the first place and direct promotion to the quarter-finals passed ENCE by the nose. But there is nothing to complain about, because the cunning one loses twice – ENCE will play in the play-offs and that’s what counts.
A firm game and an increasingly harmonious collective are definitely symptoms that can be enjoyed. Marko “Snappi” Pfeiffer’s handling has reached an excellent level, and each player finds himself in the chosen system. “dycha” and “hades” play really well, but Lotan “Spinx” Giladi is still the star of the band. The Israeli maintains a brilliant form, which was of great importance in the competition in the “death group” of the ESL Pro League.
ESL Pro League. FURIA is the hope of the Brazilian scene
Counter Strike across the ocean has significantly reduced its flights. The Americans look at Team Liquid with hope, while the Brazilians cross their fingers for FURIĘ. This second first part of the task has already done, and in a really impeccable style. FURIA came out of Group B with the first place, which, as in the case of ENCE, is a big surprise.
FURIA needs stability and fresh wind in its sails. The achieved result will undoubtedly encourage them strongly. They only lost to FaZe. They didn’t have it easy, because they managed only Sprout in two maps, but they could afford to beat rivals who were better on paper. Certainly Yuri “yuurih” Santos is impressed, who has not been successful in recent months. Together with Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato, they do their best to make their team “on top”.

It is much more for the Brazilians to worry about irregular sniper Rafael “saffee” Costa and young Andre “drop” Abreu. Both need to improve their notes. Otherwise, FURIA will have nothing to look for in the play-offs, and they will start them from the quarter-finals.
ESL Pro League. Only one of the favorites from Group B made it out
FaZe Clan, Vitality and Virtus.pro, playing under the banner of Outsiders. These three aspired to be favorites in the entire ESL Pro League, not just in their group. They were to deal the cards, divide and rule. Meanwhile, in some series they wiped the floor like a rag.
FaZe got out of trouble. The American organization started the struggle with two defeats, so the noose was immediately tightened around their necks. However, the master always has an ace up his sleeve. The pressure mobilized FaZe. The next three series played very well, losing one map only to FURI¡. Especially the match against Vitality was impressive – on the French “Pszczółki” FaZe did not leave a dry thread. The winners of IEM Katowice 2022 registered in the play-offs with a throw on the tape.
Speaking of Vitality – their theme cannot be omitted. The Franco-Danish team disappointed again. After mediocre Katowice, another bucket of cold water fell on them. Calling the exit a defeat is an understatement. Vitality just played hopelessly in every field. As always, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut was sweating his butt off, but in vain, because his friends didn’t make it to the tournament. For this tactical Sodom and Gomorrah, and as a result a complete flop. So far, the revolutionary project promises to be a spectacular flop. The team is already thinking about the April RMR tournament. There will be no room for excuses.
But, but – since the dogs on Vitality are out, it’s time to say a few words to the guys from Virtus.pro, and basically Outsiders. It was not an easy period for them. They were kept in suspense until the end about their participation in the league, and they were additionally scolded by the organization’s vulgar statements about repression against Russian teams. The public was against them. People simply stigmatized them, words of support are hard to find. Overwhelming – apparently too much. Outsiders failed and had a chance to advance to the last series of matches. However, they lost the important match to Vitality, which was only playing for honor and a bonus for the won match. Well, we can say that both sides were worth each other. Thus, the world’s sixth and eighth in the world ranking joined hands and headed towards the exit from the ESL Pro League. The results in Group B were unpredictable. Overhauling on a huge scale and that’s good, because surprises are always a pleasantly diversifying element of competition.
Group B table
- FURY ~ 12pts
- ENCE ~ 12 pts.
- FaZe Clan ~ 9 pts.
- Team Vitality ~ 6 pts.
- Outsiders (Virtus.pro) ~ 6 pts
- Sprout ~ 0 pts
