In Cuenca the ITF wheelchair tennis is played | Other Sports | Sports

With the participation of 27 tennis players from seven countries, the ITF Future of Wheelchair (wheelchair) Cuenca City Cup will be held from December 1 to 4, which will take place on the clay courts of the Cuenca Tennis and Golf Club.

On the list of participants is the American Jason Keatseangsilp, 28 years old, who is ranked 44th in the ITF Wheelchair world ranking.

Keatseangsilp, this year, has won four UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour titles: Cougar Open Wheelchair, Janco Steel Wheelchair Tennis Classic, Vancouver International Wheelchair and Uberlandia Wheelchair Tennis Open 2.

Last year the American was already in our country and won the doubles title together with his compatriot Conner Stroud by beating the Chilean Alexander Cataldo and the Mexican Raúl Ortega in Quito. Stroud, who is ranked 56 in the ITF ranking, will also be in this edition of Cuenca.

The best placed Ecuadorians are Eduardo López (161) and Wladimir Alulema (182).

In ladies, Argentina’s María Florencia Moreno appears in 15th place in the ITF ranking; and the Brazilian Meirycoll Duval (20). The best placed Ecuadorians are Carolina Lasso (88) and Alexandra Meza (109). (D)
