Sprint victory for Santiago Montenegro (Movistar-Best PC), who beat Colombian Robinson Chalapud in the last few meters in Cayambe, goal of the sixth stage of the 39th edition of the Cycling Tour of Ecuador.
The one born in Sucumbíos took off from the trio of runners who faced the final stretch in search of victory, to overcome with two seconds chalapud (Guayaquil-Ecuador Bank), who maintains overall lead for the fourth consecutive stage.

with record of 4 hours 46 minutes 14 seconds, Montenegro conquered the run fraction between San Gabriel and Cayambewith 153.43 kilometers, followed by Chalapud and Bryan Obando (C&S Technology), who was on the run for the second half of the stage, but without the strength to maintain the lead and be caught in the final kilometers.
