Salah reaches 50 assists for Liverpool in the Premier League

This Monday, the Liverpool beat Aston Villa 3-1away from home, on the way back from English Championship after the break for the World Cup. In the match, Egyptian Mohamed Salah reached the mark of 50 assists for the club in the competition.

In the game, Salah contributed to the goal scored by Dutch defender Virgil Van Dijk, Liverpool’s second goal of the match. The striker even opened the scoring for the team led by German coach Jurgen Klopp just five minutes into the first half.

In addition, Salah reached 125 goals scored for Liverpool in the Premier League. It is worth remembering that the Egyptian also defended Chelsea, a club for which he scored a goal and provided five assists in the tournament.

Salah has defended Liverpool’s colors since 2017. Since then, he has scored 172 goals and provided 69 assists in 277 games. In the current season, he has 15 goals and five passes for goals in 22 games played.

Liverpool are back on the pitch next Friday. The team will face Leicester City, at Anfield, at 5 pm (Brasília time), for the 18th round of the English Championship.
