Cristiano Ronaldo has been rumored to be leaving Manchester United this summer. The reason for this decision was the conflict with coach Erik ten Hag and the lack of promotion to the Champions League. Ultimately, the Portuguese did not leave the team in the summer, but did so a few months later, terminating his contract at the end of November.
Ciprian Panait doubts Ronaldo’s move to Al-Nassr
Recently, there has been much talk that Ronaldo is about to move to Al-Nassr. He is to sign a contract with the Arab club until 2030, where after the end of his career he would become the ambassador of Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the 2030 World Cup. According to “Marca” in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo would earn 200 million euros a year. Despite such a high contract, Ciprian Panait believes that the Portuguese will not go to an Arab club.
– I don’t think he will go to Al-Nassr. Firstly, Al-Nassr is not a big enough team to attract Cristiano. This is not a man who chases after money. He’s a billionaire, he has everything he needs. Had he gone to Saudi Arabia, he would have chosen Al-Hilal, where he could have won the Asian Champions League three or four more times. I don’t see him in Saudi Arabia, at least not in Al-Nassr because they are the second team in the country and they don’t live up to the level of Al-Hilal. Ronaldo wants trophies and records and only with Al-Hilal he can achieve it.
Panait also indicated which league he thinks Ronaldo will move to. “I can’t imagine Cristiano going to Saudi Arabia because he has a different lifestyle, he wants something different. His desire is to stay in the spotlight, not just through football. I can imagine that Cristiano even goes for much less money to the USA, where he has Hollywood close by. This is how I see his path, the more that he is also a man who cares about his image. I think his goal is to play in the USA.
