Richarlison will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury

This Tuesday, Antonio Conte, coach of Tottenham, announced that Richarlison will undergo an MRI to define the severity of his hamstring injury and stipulate a recovery period. The striker had the problem in the game between Brazil and Croatia, for the quarterfinals of the World Cup.

“Richarlison will undergo an MRI tomorrow to know the importance of the injury. Afterwards, we will be able to find out how long he will need to recover”, stated the Italian coach.

Richarlison left the field in the game of the Brazilian National Team against Croatia in the 38th minute of the second half. The 25-year-old has scored three goals at the World Cup, two in the first round of group stage against Serbia and one in the round of 16 against South Korea.

Antonio Conte also updated the status of Ben Davies and Rodrigo Bentancur. The Welshman is already recovered and training, while the Uruguayan should miss the game against Brentford (26/12) and be available to face Aston Villa, on the first day of 2023.

Currently, Tottenham is fourth in the Premier League table. The team returns after the break for the World Cup against Brentford, next Monday, at 9:30 am (Brasília time). During the season, Richarlison participated in 15 games for the London club and scored two goals.
