After Argentina’s victory over France (4-2 on penalties) after a 3-3 draw, in the Qatar 2022 World Cup final, La Albiceleste is placed in a select group of countries that have won this event.
In addition to breaking a 36-year drought without lifting the Cup, Argentina defeated a European eleventh for the third time to throw another three-time champion.
The goals from Lionel Messi (2) and Ángel Di María were enough to mark a distance that France could never recover.
The victory also served so that the Frenchmen did not reach the feat of Italy and Brazil, the only ones so far to win two World Cups in a row.
