The Albanian player suffered the serious injury on Sunday, during a off-season friendly between Chelsea and Aston Villa, in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. He left the field on a stretcher in the 25th minute of the first half, after sharing the ball with an opponent in the small area.
Create from the base of Blues, Broja performed well on loan at Southampton last season, making 38 appearances, nine goals and an assist. Already in the current season, he joined Chelsea’s first team and played 18 games (three as a starter): he scored a goal and a decisive pass.
