The attacker of the Ecuadorian team signs his third goal defending the La Máquina shirt since he joined the squad on August 16.

Ecuador, need to be friends with the goal

Estrada started as alternating and entered the field of play with ten minutes to go to register the 2-1 of your team with a head shot in added time (90+2).

Uriel Antuna was the other goalscorer for the sky-blues, who reached 24 points and will be able, starting next week, to receive Club León at their stadium for the reclassification duels that give access to the league (quarterfinals).

Sergio Flores was the scorer for Chivas, who fell to ninth place, which, although it ensures them a ticket in the playoffs, will force them to play the duel that gives access to the quarterfinals as visitors.

The first half was played at a slow pace, with both sides having trouble getting into their opponent’s box.

It was not until Cruz Azul lost Argentine defender Ramiro Funes Mori due to injury, replaced by Argentine winger Carlos Rotondi, that Guadalajara found spaces that they only took advantage of with a deflected shot by Roberto Alvarado at minute 37.

However, at the best moment for Chivas, the Blues took the lead. At 45+2, Rotondi put a service to the right wing where Antuna, without markers, outlined himself and from the right made it 1-0.

Guadalajara was the team that generated the most danger in the second half, in which, after failures by Alexis Vega, at 55, and Ángel Zaldívar, at 63, they tied.

A series of rebounds in the area allowed Flores to capture the ball and after a half turn to define the 1-1 over goalkeeper José de Jesús Corona at 68.

Chivas were able to go ahead on the scoreboard with a shot from Cristian Calderón, at 73, which crashed into the Corona goal post.

In the last minutes of the match, Cruz Azul pressed and sealed the victory. Rodrigo Huescas, on the right, crossed a service that at the far post Estrada, with his head, scored 2-1.

Estrada from Guayaquil accumulates eight games (5 as a starter) and 3 goals with the blue team.
