The 2022 Giro d’Italia will be held from May 6 to 29. Organizers, have revealed the first three stages of their journey, which will be played in Hungary, including a time trial on the second day.
The race will start from Budapest May 6. The first stage will connect the Hungarian capital with Visegrad. The next day there will be a short 9.2 kilometer time trial in the capital with a last kilometer uphill. The third stage, the last on Hungarian soil, will be for sprinters, con final in Balatonfüred.
The rest of the tour will unfold gradually between November 8 and 11. On the 8th the stages for sprinters will be presented, the mountainous ones on the 9th and the last day on the 11th.
The stages in Hungary:
1st stage: Friday May 6. Budapest – Visegrad; 195 kilometers.
2nd stage: Saturday May 7. Budapest – Budapest; 9.2 kilometers (individual time trial).
3rd stage: Sunday May 8. Kaposvar-Balatonfüred; 201 kilometers.
