Coach Antonio Conte was very pleased with Tottenham’s spirit of overcoming in the victory against Leeds, for English Championship, in a seven-goal clash.
“If I have to see a positive aspect, certainly the players showed a great character, a great desire, that will not to give up and to believe in victory”, he affirmed.
During the game, Tottenham was behind the scoreboard on three occasions, but managed to turn it around in the final ten minutes, with two goals from Bentancur. “I try to transfer this concept every day, to fight until the end”, added Conte.
The score of 4 to 3 shows that Tottenham still needs adjustments, especially in the defensive system. Even so, Conte points out that a game with so many goals brings the fan closer to football.
“I think this game made a lot of people happy because if you’re at the stadium and you see a game like that, you realize that football is attractive. You always want to see a fun match like this”, explained the Italian coach.
