Kafelnikov questioned Djokovic’s ability to break ATP record for number of titles

The 2000 Olympic champion Yevgeny Kafelnikov appreciated the chances of Serbian Novak Djokovic to break the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) record for the number of titles. His words are available in Twitter.

Kafelnikov questioned Djokovic’s ability to achieve such success. “To do this, he needs to play for at least another three years, and this is impossible! Novak needs 20 more titles to break record [Джимми] Connors. That’s a hell of a lot even for Djokovic,” he shared.

The current record for the number of victories in ATP tournaments belongs to the American Connors. The tennis player has 109 singles titles won between 1972 and 1996.

The 35-year-old Djokovic has 90 ATP titles. He has missed several tournaments this season, including the Australian Open and the US Open. The reason for this was the unwillingness of the Serb to be vaccinated against the coronavirus.
