Gymnastics, judo and taekwondo became the sports in which the albiceleste team had dominance.
With 18 gold, 6 silver and 9 bronze medals, Guayas took the lead of the general classification, completed the second day of competition, of the National Youth Sports Games Imbabura 2021.

In the men’s fights, division of the 73 kilos, Julio Arellano, from Guayas, reached the gold medal by obtaining the triumph in the three fights that he had to face. In the first round he faced Pichincha, whom he beat by ippon; in the semifinals he defeated the representative of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, ippon; while in the final he beat the representative of Imbabura by Wazari.
Dustin Intriago, de Guayas, won the final of the 81 kilos. He defeated the representative of El Oro, that of Carchi and in the final he beat the selected Cañar.
Anthony Vargas he won the final of the 90 kilos, a division that had the participation of eight athletes, winning the three fights that he had to face. He obtained the triumph, by ippon, before Azuay; in the semifinals he beat Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, by ippon; and in the final he defeated Cañar.
Darwin Market obtained the title in more than 90 kilos, in a division where 7 athletes performed. He beat Napo, by Wazari; in the semifinal he eliminated the representative of El Oro, twice Wazari; and in the final he beat Sucumbíos, by split decision.

Guayas, in the gymnastics tests, also finished in the first box of the tournament by completing 5 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals in individual apparatus.
