After a great match in the 1st round with Hellas Verona, won 5-2, Napoli and Piotr Zieliński played on Sunday the newcomer – Monza. A brand new name only, because the club, headed by Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani, acquired many outstanding and recognized players in Serie A during the summer, such as Caprari, Petagna and Ranocchia.
Napoli wrecked Monza. Concert by Georgian, two assistants by Zieliński
From the first seconds, however, Napoli was able to dominate its opponent. Despite this, the hosts were very ineffective in the first 30 minutes. Lozano, Anguissa, Kim Min-Jae and above all Osimhen had good chances, but the newcomer nevertheless managed to maintain a goalless draw.
It was like that until the 35th minute, when Georgian winger Chwicz Kwaracchelia greeted in a fantastic style with Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. After the “modest” assistance of Piotr Zieliński, Georgian took the ball in front of the penalty area, cut the left wing in and opened the score with a phenomenal shot from 20 meters.
Napoli were able to follow the blow and even before the break they increased their lead. In an effective counterattack by the hosts, Anguissa played a perpendicular ball to Victor Osimhen, who scored 2: 0 with a flat shot in the far corner of the goal.
In the second half, the team from Naples added one more hit. It was the second goal of the best on the Kwaracchelia pitch, who received the ball from Lobotka in the hosts ‘counterattack in the 62nd minute, and then effectively ridiculed the Monza defender in the penalty area and defeated the opponents’ goalkeeper with a strong flat blow.
The result was determined by the hosts in added time, and Piotr Zieliński assisted with the fourth goal for Napoli. The Polish midfielder crossed the ball from a corner kick on the head of Kim Min-Jae as Napoli’s new stopper scored his debut goal for the new team.
Napoli defeated Monza 4-0 and after two rounds they have a set of six points on their account, and with a goal balance of 9: 2 it is highly probable that Piotr Zieliński’s team will lead in Serie A at the end of the weekend.
