Nine representatives of the Russian Premier League (RPL) will play in the 1/8 finals of the tournament. Six more teams represent the National Football League (FNL). Also in the 1/8 finals will play “Seagull” from FNL-2.
RPL leader Zenit will have a meeting with Kamaz. Moscow “Spartak” will play with Krasnodar “Kuban”. CSKA will play a match with an opponent in RPL Sochi. Lokomotiv will play with Enisey Krasnoyarsk. Dynamo will compete for reaching the next stage with Nizhny Novgorod. Rubin will meet with Rotor. Kaliningrad Baltika will play Chaika, and Alania will play against Tula Arsenal.
The 1/8 finals of the Russian Cup will be held in 2022. Matches are to take place on March 1-3. The current winner of the National Cup is Lokomotiv.
