Russian air defense systems (ADS) shot down two Ukrainian drones tonight, Governor of the Kursk region Roman Starovoit said on his Telegram channel.
“Tonight, on approach to Kursk, our air defenses shot down two Ukrainian Strizh drones. Thanks to the competent actions of the military, there were no casualties,” the head of the region noted.
At the same time, he expressed his condolences to the families and friends of those who died as a result of the night emergency in Belgorod.
Recall that on Sunday night in this city, presumably, the air defense system worked, a series of explosions occurred, as a result of which, according to preliminary data, three people died and four were injured. As the governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov reported earlier, “partial destruction of 11 apartment buildings along the streets of Mayakovsky, Michurin, Chumichov, Popov and Pavlov” was recorded. “As well as at least 39 private residential buildings along the streets of Mayakovsky, Popov, Pavlov, partially destroyed, 5 of them completely,” the head of the region specified, assuring that all necessary assistance would be provided to residents.
We add that on the territory of the Belgorod region bordering Ukraine, an increased “yellow” level of terrorist danger is still in effect (previously it was extended until July 9), security measures have also been strengthened in the Kursk region bordering Ukraine.
