Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov talked to the residents of Belgorod, which was subjected to night shelling from Ukraine, after which people died and were injured.
One of the residents of Belgorod asked the head of the region how the townspeople can now sleep peacefully. “No way. Everything that depends on me, my operational services, we have done, are doing and will continue to do. What happened now is, of course, an extremely difficult situation. Say more about [такого] never will be, I can’t tell you, ”RBC quotes Gladkov.
He assured that the authorities would take care of “all issues”, but time is needed to assess the damage.
“Four people were injured, one of them is a child, nothing threatens their lives. Four people died, one of them is a citizen of the Russian Federation, three are citizens of Ukraine. This is the absolute height of cynicism that Ukraine has achieved in its actions,” Gladkov said earlier.
After the shelling, “partial destruction of 11 apartment buildings along the streets of Mayakovsky, Michurin, Chumichov, Popov and Pavlov” was recorded. “As well as at least 39 private residential buildings along the streets of Mayakovsky, Popov, Pavlov, partially destroyed, 5 of them completely,” the governor specified, assuring that all necessary assistance would be provided to residents.
Currently, on the territory of the Belgorod region bordering Ukraine, an increased “yellow” level of terrorist danger is still in effect (previously it was extended until July 9), security measures have also been strengthened in the Kursk region bordering Ukraine.
