National strike: Police guard this Wednesday commercial areas and schools in the south and suburb of Guayaquil after attempted looting and robbery

Police uniforms are located on the morning of this Wednesday, June 15, in several streets of the Portete district, in the southwest of Guayaquil, to provide security to passers-by and business owners in the face of robbery attempts and looting registered yesterday, Tuesday, in the framework of the strike that reaches its third day.

“Now I am having breakfast in peace. You’ve been working for so many years, it’s not fair that they come to hurt you,” said Maritza Reinoso, owner of a store located on 23rd and Q.

“We are going to monitor the networks to observe any video that may arise and that with second intention wants to lead to this panic. And we are also going to spread out in all the main avenues and streets where there are shops, educational centers, so that normalcy and order remain in our district”, Colonel Mayorga explained.

And he added that mobile devices will remain in the course of the day.
