Veterans of Turkmenistan will receive $10 by Victory Day, which is tens and hundreds of times less than in other countries of Central Asia, and significantly less than in Russia. This is reported by the Telegram channel Orda, which performed the corresponding calculations.
So, in Kazakhstan, the amount of payments depends on the region of residence of the recipient and his status. Veterans living in Nur-Sultan and Almaty will receive 1 million tenge ($2,229) each, and 2 million tenge ($4,459) in Aktobe. In total, 387 participants of the Great Patriotic War live in the republic.
In Kyrgyzstan, the amount of holiday payments to each of 107 veterans will be 100,000 soms ($1,209).
In Uzbekistan, war veterans, concentration camp prisoners and Leningrad blockade survivors will each receive 15 million soums ($1,339) and valuable gifts. 236 participants of the Great Patriotic War live in the country.
In Tajikistan, the amount of payments to each of the 59 veterans also depends on the place of residence. Thus, in Dushanbe, veterans will receive 3,000 somoni ($240), and in the Sughd region – $480.
In Russia, 20,320 veterans were counted, each of them was paid 10,000 rubles ($138 at the current exchange rate) by Victory Day.
