The United States added 33 more people and 22 companies from Russia to the sanctions list, as well as a number of vessels flying the Russian flag.
As reported on the website of the US Treasury, the sanctions included the deputy chairmen of the board of Sberbank – Olga Golodets, Bella Zlatkis and Ilya Eliseev, a classmate of the deputy head of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev.
In total, eight executives of Sberbank and 27 of Gazprombank were affected by restrictive measures.
The new sanctions will also include about 2,600 visa restrictions for Russian and Belarusian officials.
Washington also imposed sanctions against the Rossiya-1 TV channel, Channel One and NTV, since these are “the most popular Russian state channels” that “belong to the government of the Russian Federation and operate in its favor.”
In addition to TV channels, Washington’s “black list” includes 19 more Russian legal entities, including the Moscow Industrial Bank and Promtekhnologiya LLC.
In addition, the States will introduce new export restrictions on the supply of industrial products from the Russian Federation, including engines and bulldozers, uranium, plutonium and other nuclear products.
American companies will also be prohibited from providing certain consulting services to clients from Russia.
