In San Lorenzo they find the body of a man who was reported missing

With signs of violence, the body of Daniel Simisterra was found, who had been reported missing for two days in the province of Esmeraldas.

The victim’s body was found in the El Pan sector, in the Mataje parish, San Lorenzo canton, on the northern border, on the afternoon of Monday the 25th, reported Dinased.

According to the inquiries, community members of the sector said they had seen Simisterra in a white car, with Pichincha license plates, in the La Chiquita sector. Hours later, the car was found abandoned on a rural road in this town near the border with Colombia.

The previous week, another four bodies were found in a vacant lot or mass grave in Mataje, in the San Lorenzo canton, on the northern border of Esmeraldas.

The victims were found by inhabitants of this town, who observed birds of prey and perceived bad odors as of decomposing corpses.

Agents from the Dinased, Criminalistics, military and the agent on duty from the San Lorenzo Prosecutor’s Office carried out the inspection and were in charge of removing the four corpses and transferring them to the Esmeraldas Zone 1 Forensic Center.

Three of the victims were identified as Nora Zambrano Montesdeoca (35 years old), Jonás Vélez (40) and Jairo Saltos (36). There is still one person to verify your data. Nora was the sister of Ferrari Zambrano Montesdeoca (former mayor of Muisne).

The victims had gunshot wounds and were in a state of decomposition, according to the preliminary police report.

They were reported missing on April 5 and lived in the Daule rural parish, in the Muisne canton, south of the green province.

The police report also revealed that about ten meters from where the four bodies were found there were 2,000 rifle cartridges in two blue plastic containers, 220 detonating capsules, 2 meters of cord and 3 meters of detonating fuse.

The evidence was taken to the San Lorenzo district command as associative evidence.

So far this year, the murder of Rossana Calicchio Pacheco (29 years old) and her children, 6 and 4 years old, of Venezuelan nationality, was also recorded inside a farm on the road to Mataje, on Monday, April 11.

They were reported missing and allegedly kidnapped by unknown individuals.

Likewise, the brothers Darwin, 39, and Judith Jimbo Cando, 30, were murdered in the La Cadena sector, of the same parish, on February 16. (I)
