Misinformation is not a new problem. The economic and political crises in Ecuador have been plagued by the circulation of false content. Of course, the pandemic scenario was no exception. What has been the social cost of these disinformation campaigns? Who creates them and for what purposes? What interests are around them?
To analyze these issues, EL UNIVERSO has prepared the webinar “The misinformation milestones of Ecuadorian politics”, this Monday, April 25, at 5:00 p.m., together with the San Francisco University of Quito (USFQ), the Code Glass portal and the Interuniversity Observatory of Ecuadorian Media (OIME).
Ana María Correa Crespo, professor of International Relations at USFQ, and Andrés Jaramillo, political communication consultant, will participate.
Pamela Cruz, OIME coordinator, and Eric Samson, professor at USFQ, will moderate the dialogue.
This webinar is part of the “Disinformation in times of COVID-19” project. (I)
