The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inamhi) issued an early warning bulletin on rain and thunderstorms valid until Tuesday, April 19.
In the Coastal region, rainfall will focus on the north and interior of the region, where events of moderate to strong intensity with electrical storms could occur.
In the Inter-Andean Alley, the rains will be of variable intensity and it is likely that the most relevant events will take place in the north and in the foothills of the western mountain range. In the Amazon region, rainfall will spread throughout much of the region and in several cases will be accompanied by electrical storms and some gusts of wind.
