The Kirovsky District Court of St. Petersburg confiscated a “herd” of counterfeit toy ponies from the “Detki” LLC company, which tried to import and sell them in Russia. This was reported by the joint press service of the courts of the city.

The toys were found at the Baltic customs post. They came to Russia from China by order of “Kids”. The container contained plastic toys with a total weight of 572 kg and a cost of more than 383,000 rubles. During the inspection, 336 My little Pony toys were found, including Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle and Rarity.

The press service said that the copyright holder company did not give permission for their implementation. This means that the specified product is counterfeit, and Detki LLC violated intellectual property rights.

The court imposed a fine of 30,000 rubles on the company. A set of 336 pony minifigures was confiscated in favor of the state.

Earlier, a large batch of electronic cigarettes from Europe was seized in St. Petersburg.
