The driver of a truck was shot dead in the tenth stage of the Alborada, in the north of Guayaquil.
The incident occurred when the vehicle was moving at the intersection of Rosa Campuzano (2nd Passage 32NO) and Jorge Jara Grau streets, after 6:00 p.m. on Monday 21.
According to the first investigations, the attack was carried out by people who were traveling in a blue car. Witnesses said they heard a burst of gunshots.
After several minutes, uniformed policemen surrounded the Grau road so that agents from special units can analyze the scene.

Traces of the projectiles that entered the vehicle remained on the sides of the vehicle, while the body of the 62-year-old driver remained inert inside.

This afternoon, two other crimes were reported in Bastion Popular and in the southwest.
In the first case, a 21-year-old man was murdered in block 5 of Bastión Popular.
According to police personnel, two individuals who were traveling on a motorcycle approached the victim and shot him repeatedly.
Agents who went to the scene indicated that the man was taken to a health home, however he died.
The victim has no criminal record.
In the southwest of the city, on 13th and B streets, another violent event alarmed the residents of that populous sector.
There, two people were affected by an attack also carried out by people on motorcycles. One of the victims, 25 years old, died at the scene while the other was taken to a health home and remained with vital signs.
So far this year, Zone 8 (Guayaquil, Durán and Samborondón) has recorded more than 270 violent deaths. (I)
