Russia cancels the requirement to wear masks at stations and on trains

The mandatory wearing of masks at railway stations and on long-distance trains in Russia has been canceled. This follows from a letter from Rospotrebnadzor addressed to the Deputy General Director of Russian Railways JSC Dmitry Pegov, which was published by Russian Railways.

“The use of masks by passengers at objects of mass concentration of people is advisory in nature,” the text says.

Passengers will not have their body temperature checked before boarding.

Earlier, the mask regime was canceled in Moscow and the Moscow region.

According to the latest data, coronavirus in Russia was confirmed in 28,709 people per day, according to the federal operational headquarters for combating coronavirus infection. For the first time since January 16, fewer than 30,000 cases per day have been detected in the country. A day earlier, 31,035 cases were registered, for the pandemic – 17 million 611 thousand 401.

61,938 patients recovered from coronavirus per day, 74,675 a day earlier, and 16,271,880 since the beginning of the pandemic.

2,187 people were hospitalized per day, 2,551 a day earlier.

409 people died per day due to the coronavirus, the day before – 434, for the pandemic – 364 thousand 901.
