In Ukraine, drivers were banned from using DVRs, RBC reports.

As the head of the public relations department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told reporters, this decision was made in order to avoid disclosure of information about “the movement and progress of the tasks of the defense forces.” According to him, representatives of military administrations “should emphasize this to the public.”

The ban is valid in all regions of the country and applies to both cars and motorcycles. Restrictions on photography and video filming affect roads, infrastructure facilities, roadblocks, as well as the location and movement of military units.

On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an emergency appeal to the Russians and announced a special military operation in the Donbass. In his speech, he stated that “circumstances require decisive action from Russia” and stressed that “Russia will not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons.” In response to Russia’s actions, Western countries (USA, Canada, EU, UK, Japan) announced new, tougher sanctions against the Russian Federation, including financial and economic ones.
