It happened on the morning of this Saturday, October 30, 46 nautical miles from Manta, it was indicated.

The subjects, who were in a speedboat, threw the jute bags with the drugs into the sea, as well as two satellite buoys.

The discovery of this vessel was made by the coast guard boat Isla Santa Cruz, whose crew was notified of the transfer of drugs by information from Naval Intelligence, it was said.

“Upon noticing the presence of the maritime and air naval units (the speedboat) it proceeded to flee, throwing two radio buoys into the sea along with 25 jute bags, which inside contained blocks wrapped with packing tape” , stated, in a statement, the Ecuadorian Navy.
