On the website of the Central Bank, data on the owners of credit institutions has been removed from open access, writes RBC. At the moment, on the pages with information about specific financial institutions there is no section “Information about the controlling persons of the bank”, although it was present there before.
According to the agency, permission not to disclose some of the data until the end of this year was granted by the Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia to financial institutions on March 18. The list of such data includes information about the persons controlling them, accession, transformation or reorganization of the company, as well as members of management bodies or other officials. At the same time, the decision does not release financial institutions from their obligations for regular reporting in the prescribed manner.
This permission also meant that the regulator itself would not disclose this information on its website until the end of 2022. Nevertheless, as the agency notes, as of March 20, the website of the Central Bank contained information on the procedure for reorganizing banks.
Recall, earlier it was reported that the Bank of Russia expects a significant weakening of lending activity in the country in the coming months against the backdrop of a fundamental change in external conditions for the Russian economy due to Western sanctions imposed against the Russian Federation in connection with the situation in Ukraine.
