Users of Novosibirsk social networks were outraged by a video in which an elderly woman with a plaster on her leg climbs the hospital stairs. According to the author of the video, this happened in the central district hospital of the Toguchin district center due to the lack of an elevator.

It is reported by “KP in Novosibirsk”.

At the same time, the commentators were outraged both by the very fact of the lack of an elevator and the behavior of the author of the video, who was filming, instead of helping the pensioner to get up.

The staff of the hospital, built in 1974, confirmed the absence of an elevator. “It is structurally and technically impossible to transfer the X-ray to the first floor. When you need to take a picture of a patient with limited mobility, relatives help with transporting him to the second floor. If this is not possible, the patient turns to the medical staff for help. In this case, the picture is taken either using a mobile X-ray machine, or the hospital staff helps the patient up to the second floor, ”they explained, adding that there were two accompanying people next to the pensioner with a broken leg. According to them, these citizens did not consider it necessary to help the elderly woman, but only filmed her. As for the elevator, they promise to build it in 2024.
