Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov hopes that the special operation in Ukraine will end with the signing of comprehensive documents. It is reported by TASS.

“After our operation is completed, and will end, I hope, with the signing of comprehensive documents on the issues that I mentioned – security issues, the neutral status of Ukraine with guarantees of its security And, of course, bringing the legislative bases regarding the Russian language, Russian education and Russian mass media into a civilized norm. And regarding those laws that indulge in the notification of the country, and the adoption of a law that will prohibit this, ”Lavrov said.

He believes that the United States “constantly holds the hand” of the Ukrainian delegation in negotiations with the Russian Federation, and added that Russia’s demands are minimal.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation in Ukraine. The head of the Russian Defense Ministry, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, said that the main task of this operation is to protect Russia from a military threat from Western countries that “are trying to use the Ukrainian people in the fight against our country.” In response to this decision, sanctions began to be imposed on Russia. The Russian and Ukrainian delegations held a series of talks on the situation. We add that Lavrov said that Russia presented Ukraine with specific proposals for a settlement, which Kyiv took into consideration. At the same time, he said, the head of the Russian state, Vladimir Putin, is not opposed to meeting for negotiations with the Ukrainian leader, but for this there must be preliminary preparation.
