The US Department of Commerce warned on Friday of measures against a number of aircraft flying to Russia in violation of US export controls.

According to TASS, refueling, maintenance, repair, provision of parts or services to commercial and private aircraft flying to Russia in “clear violation of the US export control rule” require permission. Companies providing these services to said vehicles could be subject to U.S. action, which could include “substantial prison terms, fines, loss of export privileges, or other restrictions,” the ministry said in a statement.

The list of aircraft published by the agency includes 99 Boeing aircraft operated by Russian passenger and cargo carriers, including Aeroflot, AirBridge Cargo, Utair, Nordwind, Azur Air and Aviastar. The list also included a Gulfstream G650 aircraft owned by Russian businessman Roman Abramovich.
